  1. Sarah Bishop is very different from where she stands now, to back then. For one thing, Sarah had her family. She had something to live for. Sarah had a life. She lived on a farm, and had to cook meals for her father and brother. Then after the war, she didn't have a family. She lived in a cave and not a farm. She lived in the wild. Her ways of survivel were different too. Sarah had to ajust to her new surroundings very quickly.

    2. Good job on answering this question. I agree that Sarah's life was definitely turned upside down. I know how long it took me to shoot my deer, and I didn't have to use a musket. I can't imagine being on my own and without my family.

  2. Sarah's life is different then it use to be, and she now she is take care of her self now. Sarah lived with her dad and brother. She cooked for them because her mom passed away. She lived on a farm. After the war her dad and brother died and now she has no family. Sarah lives in a cave with a white bat and a muskrat. In fact, Sarah's life is way different then it use to be.

  3. 8. Sarah's life before the war was very different than after the war began. The biggest change for Sarah was the loss of her family and learning to survive on her own. Instead of caring for her father and brother, she had to think of her own safety. Instead of having a family to belong to, she had a bat and a muskrat to keep her company. I'm sure it was a big change from living on a farm, to learning how to shoot and find food and medicine in the wild and on her own.

    1. Strasdin, I agree with you on everything! First, you said that everything changed when she heard the loss of her family. Second, you said that she had to think about her own safety. Also, you said that she only had a bat, a muskrat to keep her company. Finally, you said that it was a big change for Sarah. Ya-no, living on a farm to living in a cave. Big difference! Also, living on a farm and getting everything you need to live. Then, you live in a cave and you have to fight for food. So, I agree with ya Strasdin.

  4. Sarah's life before the war was pretty good, she had a family a home and animals. SHe lived in or pretty close to town and everything was going good.....then the war destroyed her life. They patriots killed her dad, her brother joined an army against King George III, and got killed, and now she is living in a cave with no one and she lives off what she can find. Not to mention she has NO family, barely any friends.

    1. Chloe, I agree to everything you said! Her life before the war was pretty good. After the war everything changed. She had to fend for herself, her dad and her brother died, and she had to face the dangers of the wild. Your paragraph was really good!

  5. Before the war Sarah had a pretty normal life. She seemed like she was just a normal fifteen year old girl. She did the cooking, cleaning, and milked the cows. For a girl in that time period she did what was probably considered normal. After the war though she just became a whole new person. I think she completely forgot the life she used to live. The war was probably the worst thing that has happened to her. Sarah had to learn how to fend by herself. She had to learn to defend herself. She also had to learn how to live off the land. The war probably made her go slightly insane. From having a pretty normal life, then going to the exact opposite of that life would make anybody insane.

  6. Sarah lived a relatively normal life before the war. Aside from her mother being gone she lived the life of a normal colonist. She did the cooking, the cleaning, and helped around the farm. For a girl back then she did pretty well and a lot. After the war though she had to do much more. She had to fend for herself. Fight against hunger, sickness and disease, and the wildlife. She learned to live a life where she could only rely on herself and no one else. After the war I also feel as if she had some trust issues too. She was one of the few women to prove women can do as much as men, from back then.

  7. Sarah life before the war was pretty normal. She cooked and cleaned like a normal teenage girl would do back then. After the war though everything changed for Sarah. First of all, her dad and her brother died. She now has no family. Second, She has to learn how to fend for herself. She has no home and no family and was living in cave. Lastly, She had to face the dangers of the wild. Since she was living in a cave there was many dangers such as wild animals, and hunger. She could easily die from a wild animal and could easily starve. She had to learn how to keep herself alive. Clearly, Sarah's life was completely different from before the war to after the war.
